Avionics Install Technician-2nd Shift - 1095

About the role

This is a full-time on-site position at West Star Aviation in Perryville, MO. We are a rapidly growing MRO provider committed to employee growth and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Remove and install panels, components and interiors, as well as repair work on avionics installations.
• Stamp, bundle and install connectors on wiring.
• Removal of old wiring and installation of new wire bundles in aircraft.
• Troubleshooting and evaluation of avionics systems on the aircraft when designated.
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components when designated.
• Aircraft movement and assistance in hangar stack when required.
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling.
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
• Work within a team process.
• Work independently on projects when required.
• Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Requirements

• A High school diploma or equivalent.
• Electronics or Avionics training is preferred.
• A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Tech I: 0-2 years of experience in avionics, military avionics or electrical field.
• Tech II: 2-4 years of experience in avionics or military avionics field.
• Tech III: 4-6 years of experience in avionics or military avionics field.
• Master Technician: 6+ years’ experience with corporate/business avionics systems.

Skills

• Basic computer skills.
• Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines.
• Follow wiring diagrams, route and terminate wires at proper locations.
• Troubleshoot, evaluate and perform functional tests for various avionics and instrument systems.
• Work with others in a professional manner.

Schedule

The schedule is typically 2nd shift, but flexible arrangements may be available.
