About the role
This position is available for 2nd shift work, Monday through Thursday, from 3pm to 1am. The shift incentive includes a 10% to 15% premium, paid lunch, 3-day weekends, formal airframe training, and eligibility to transfer to 1st shift after three years.
Responsibilities
- Removal and installation of panels, components, and interiors, as well as repair work on avionics installations.
- Stamp, bundle, and install connectors on wiring.
- Removal of old wiring and installation of new wire bundles in aircraft.
- Troubleshooting and evaluation of avionics systems on the aircraft when designated.
- Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components when designated.
- Aircraft movement and assistance in hangar stacking when required.
- Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment, and tooling.
- Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
- Work within a team process.
- Work independently on projects when required.
- Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Requirements
- A High school diploma or equivalent.
- Electronics or Avionics training is preferred.
- A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
Qualifications
- Tech I: 0-2 years of experience in avionics, military avionics, or electrical field.
- Tech II: 2-4 years of experience in avionics or military avionics field, with considerable knowledge of the job and a broad understanding of detailed aspects.
- Tech III: 4-6 years of experience in avionics or military avionics field, with full knowledge of the job and complete understanding of detailed aspects.
- Master Technician: 6+ years’ experience with corporate/business avionics systems, exclusive knowledge in all areas of the job, and a wide and comprehensive knowledge of the job.
Skills
- Self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
- Understand and implement regulations and guidelines.
- Follow wiring diagrams, route, and terminate wires at proper locations.
- Troubleshoot, evaluate, and perform functional tests for various avionics and instrument systems.

Pay
The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $22 - $35. Actual hourly rate will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
