Avionics Install Technician - 2nd shift - 1472

About the role

This position is available for 2nd shift work, Monday through Thursday, from 3pm to 1am. The shift incentive includes a 10% to 15% premium, paid lunch, 3-day weekends, formal airframe training, and eligibility to transfer to 1st shift after three years.

Responsibilities

• Removal and installation of panels, components, and interiors, as well as repair work on avionics installations.
• Stamp, bundle, and install connectors on wiring.
• Removal of old wiring and installation of new wire bundles in aircraft.
• Troubleshooting and evaluation of avionics systems on the aircraft when designated.
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components when designated.
• Aircraft movement and assistance in hangar stacking when required.
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment, and tooling.
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
• Work within a team process.
• Work independently on projects when required.
• Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Requirements

• A High school diploma or equivalent.
• Electronics or Avionics training is preferred.
• A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Tech I: 0-2 years of experience in avionics, military avionics, or electrical field.
• Tech II: 2-4 years of experience in avionics or military avionics field, with considerable knowledge of the job and a broad understanding of detailed aspects.
• Tech III: 4-6 years of experience in avionics or military avionics field, with full knowledge of the job and complete understanding of detailed aspects.
• Master Technician: 6+ years’ experience with corporate/business avionics systems, exclusive knowledge in all areas of the job, and a wide and comprehensive knowledge of the job.

• Follow wiring diagrams, route, and terminate wires at proper locations.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $22 - $35. Actual hourly rate will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
