About the Role

We are seeking an Aviation Staff Engineer for our SeaTac office to support airport infrastructure projects in the Northwest Mountain region and across the U.S. You will be providing engineering and project management support, technical delivery, and potentially client management for aviation projects. In this role, you will have opportunities to work at both commercial service and general aviation airports, interacting with customers, FAA/DOT personnel, permitting officials, and multi-disciplinary C&S teams. This position includes hands-on horizontal airfield design work as well as opportunities for construction observation. Aviation experience is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of design documents including plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
  • Coordinating with sub-consultants, interpreting design standards, attending client meetings, and coordinating multi-discipline teams.
  • Collect and prepare data for evaluation.
  • Review requests for information, contractor submittals, and other construction administration duties.
  • Opportunities to lead or support projects in offices across the country.
  • Construction observation duties to ensure contract documents are followed.

Requirements

  • 0-5 years of engineering experience in airfield design/construction or a similar field.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a similar technical degree.
  • AutoCAD and Civil3D experience.
  • EIT preferred.
  • Solid analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
  • Resourceful and self-motivated.
  • Solid organizational skills with a focus on details.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Pay

Estimated compensation range: $85,000 - $105,000/year. Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location, market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
