AV Technician

About the role

Based in Harrisburg, we are a growing AV integrator supporting commercial, federal, and religious institutions. We are seeking an experienced AV Technician to join our dynamic engineering team, contributing to the design and implementation of state-of-the-art AV systems.

Responsibilities

• Designing, programming, and commissioning AV systems using Extron control systems and BI-AMP technology
• Providing technical support for AV equipment, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues
• Collaborating with the engineering team to develop and implement AV solutions that meet client needs and expectations
• Conducting regular maintenance checks and updates on AV systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Providing training and guidance to end-users on the operation and maintenance of AV systems
• Staying up-to-date with the latest AV technologies and industry trends to provide innovative and effective solutions
• Adhering to safety protocols and procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an AV Technician or a similar role in the engineering industry
• Extensive knowledge and experience with Extron control systems, BI-AMP technology, and other related AV technologies
• Proficiency in programming and commissioning AV systems
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner
• A proactive approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred
• Relevant certifications such as Extron Certified Control Professional (ECP), Biamp TesiraFORTÉ, or similar will be an added advantage

Salary: $20 - $40 per hour
