AV Engineer - On Call

Responsibilities

• Performs the load-in & out of band equipment and rental equipment
• Cabling and gaffing, and assist audio & lighting crew as directed
• Band Set changes
• Ensure that band(s) have required items needed to perform the show(s)
• Communicating effectively with production team
• Hanging show banners, updating marquees and other signage in the venue
• Assist lighting & audio crew as directed by Production Manager; Spotlight operation if required
• Daily PA System setup and breakdown, with lighting, pro-gaffing for safety and neatness
• Running professional sound equipment for musicians
• Troubleshoot, test, and resolve technical issues
• Organizing AV closet during down time
• Responsible for installation of audio-visual hardware for end users
• Aids in the installation of advanced audio visual hardware and software under the direction of the AV Management
• Performs routine tasks like room setups or other operational tasks as defined
• Performs preventative maintenance on audio visual hardware
• Tests, evaluates, and installs audio visual equipment
• Trains on hardware and software use
• Facilitates assistance from hardware and software vendors when necessary
• Setup and maintain cabaret stage entertainment and other special events
• Devises documentation for all end user hardware and software with regard to installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, licensing, configuration, and network connectivity
• Prepares progressive reports for all work performed
• Pull and terminate low voltage cable

Qualifications

Education/Formal Training: Highschool Diploma or Equivalent

Experience: Prior audio/visual experience preferred

Knowledge/Skills: Familiar with audio visual concepts, Excellent Guest Service, Experience with audio, video, control systems and like technology, Experience in systems integration, Familiar with personal computers, servers, and like technology

Physical Demands

Lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling and carrying required frequently to perform duties

Able to climb stairs and ladders

Able to hear portable radio, fire alarms, machinery, guests

Able to inspect, maintain equipment

Environment

Prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting

Pay

USD $25.00 - USD $25.00 /Hr.
