Key Responsibilities

  • Proficient in basic computer troubleshooting, responsible for re-booting self-driving autonomous vehicles in service areas.
  • Maintain situational awareness and adapt to changes in the environment.
  • Operate self-driving vehicles on defined and undefined routes, including various environmental conditions.
  • Communicate with passengers and provide customer service.
  • Complete daily reports and document procedures and tests.
  • Exercise excellent customer service and follow safety procedures.
  • Respond to changing environments and provide concise, clear, and accurate feedback.

Education, Licensing, And Certifications

  • Must be 21 years old.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Four-year college degree (preferred) in a related field.
  • Valid driver’s license and meet state AVT (Autonomous Vehicle Tester) and/or Other Applicable Regulations And Laws (where Required).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience driving on public roads. Additional experience is preferred.
  • IT support or software troubleshooting experience is required.
  • Proficiency with a laptop computer and GSuite apps.
  • Proficiency with using a touchscreen smartphone.

Skills And Knowledge

  • Good attention to detail.
  • Quick response to multiple scenarios.
  • Cross-functional verbal and written communication and issue escalation.
  • Multitasking multiple technologies.
  • Self-motivated and demonstrates good judgment in high-stress environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Pre-Employment Requirements

  • Submit to a drug test and background check.
  • Physical requirements: Occasional standing, walking, and sitting; long periods of sitting; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; climb stairs and/or ladders; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; lift and/or move up to 45 pounds; use close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
