Automotive Vehicle Inspector / Condition Report Writer

About the role

America’s Auto Auction is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Automotive Vehicle Inspector/Condition Report Writer to join their team. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently and as part of a team, with prior experience as a rental car damage inspector, insurance appraiser/adjuster, collision/body shop estimator, auction vehicle inspector, dealership vehicle appraiser, or related inspection/appraiser experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review vehicle inspection data and photos to write detailed condition reports.
• Identify damage, wear, or discrepancies using guidelines and industry standards provided.
• Ensure reports meet internal quality control standards and client requirements.
• Work with field staff and inspection teams to clarify findings when needed.
• Submit timely, polished reports that support vehicle sales, leasing, or valuation processes.
• Complete 20 to 25 condition reports daily.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

Requirements

• Able to work outside during all weather conditions.
• Able to bend, reach, stand, walk and lift up-to 20 lbs. without difficulty.
• Regular and consistent availability and attendance.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, for duration of employment.
• Need to pass pre-employment screening.

Pay and Schedule

The hourly pay rate is $18.00 - $21.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday - Friday, with specific hours as follows: Monday - Wednesday 8:30AM - 4:00PM, Thursday 8:30AM - 5:30PM, and Friday 8:30AM - 3:00PM.
