Greets customers, opens work orders, and provides general administrative support in maintaining records for the day-to-day operations of all County fleet vehicles.
Pay
$22.00 - $24.00/hour
Responsibilities
- Writes customer service orders upon arrival at any of the five service-lane locations
- Opens and closes work orders and dispatches for all County vehicle fleet
- Writes estimates, opens work-order lines, and files documents
- Inputs and updates vehicle maintenance information into the M5 program
- Assigns work to automotive and service technicians
- Manages fleet and assists with all County vehicles
- Answers phones and routes calls accordingly
- Gives approval, keys repairs, and processes invoices for payment
- Parks, jump-starts, picks up, and delivers County vehicles as needed to any vendor or County facility
- Maintains daily vehicle accountability, including parked location, lane, and vehicle status
- Picks up and delivers vehicles to County locations and vendors as required
- Maintains personal and office cleanliness: sweeps, mops, and takes out trash
- Assists with breakdown services, repairs, and accidents to ensure effective repair location
- Professionally interacts with customers, colleagues, and fosters positive business relationships
- Works in a busy office environment subject to frequent interruptions
- Wears Personal Protective Equipment as required by Company Safety Standards
- Performs other duties as assigned
Schedule
Monday–Friday, alternating hours between 6:00 am to 4:00 pm; some weekend hours may also be required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the automotive service industry preferred
- Must complete County-required Live Scan
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Effective oral and written communication skills at all levels of the organization
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion
- Problem-solving skills with an analytical thought process
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Must be able to lift, lower, carry, push, or move objects up to 50 lbs.
- Various tasks may require intermittent standing or prolonged sitting, and the ability to walk, reach, kneel, crouch, and handle work-related supplies and tools
