About the role
As a Service Advisor, you'll be the primary point of contact for our customers' automotive service and repair needs. You'll listen carefully, diagnose concerns, and communicate clearly with both customers and technicians to ensure a smooth and efficient service experience. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical understanding, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing top-tier customer service. Experience with Ford and Reynolds & Reynolds DMS software is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly in a friendly, professional manner and represent the dealership with integrity.
- Act as the main liaison between customers and technicians, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Answer incoming service-related calls and assist customers with their needs.
- Accurately document customer concerns and service requests on repair orders.
- Test-drive vehicles with customers when needed to confirm issues or concerns.
- Review vehicle history, inspect for additional service needs, and make informed recommendations.
- Educate customers on the importance of proper vehicle maintenance and care.
- Prepare accurate estimates for parts and labor.
- Establish realistic "promise times" and keep customers informed throughout the process.
- Monitor repair progress and communicate updates as needed.
- Upon completion, review service work with the customer, explain charges, and collect payment.
- Conduct all interactions with sincerity, honesty, and professionalism while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Service Advisor experience required.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and a strong team player.
- Ability to operate manual and automatic vehicles.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Excellent work ethic and attention to detail.
