Automotive Service Advisor

Pay

The starting base compensation for this position is $22.55 to $24.00 hourly. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. In addition to hourly compensation, Sales Advisors are eligible for uncapped monthly performance bonuses, spiffs, and contests throughout the year.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer telephone calls, and schedule appointments promptly and courteously.
• Review repairs and services with customers to ensure a complete understanding of the work performed.
• Contact customers regarding any deviations from the original estimate of cost or time for vehicle readiness.
• Note the name and time of approval for all repair/service orders and any additional costs.
• Distribute work to shop technicians while monitoring progress and accuracy of each job.
• Supply information to technicians as needed.
• Arrange repairs and payment for vehicles covered by extended warranty programs.
• Coordinate towing and/or alternate transportation (shuttle or rental vehicle) in accordance with Total Repair Care (TRC) standards.
• Monitor vehicle inspection dates to ensure compliance before due dates.
• Notify customers of required vehicle servicing per manufacturer recommendations and state requirements, explaining the details clearly.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in the automotive industry preferred, or three years of relevant experience in a fast-paced environment with a proven sales and customer satisfaction record.
• Knowledge of automotive technology and the ability to communicate this information to support teams, customers, and technicians.
• ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Service Advisor Certification is a plus but not required.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to complete required pre-employment screenings (background check and drug screening) if offered the position.
• Authorized to work in the USA.
