Automotive Rental Car Coordinator - Farmington Hills, Michigan, United States

The Rental Car Coordinator assists customers with product rentals, identifying useful items, and handling reservations, rentals, and returns.

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate products.
• Answer inquiries about product options, availability, cost, and rental lengths.
• Reserve items and maintain reservation records.
• Complete or acquire required forms and documentation such as licenses or proof of insurance.
• Explain rental policies and obtain customer signatures acknowledging understanding.
• Demonstrate proper use and care of products to customers.
• Record customer orders; collect deposits, rental fees, and other payments at rental or return.
• Retrieve merchandise for customers, assist with loading equipment, and restock returned products.
• Inspect returned products for cleanliness, condition, and proper maintenance; tag items needing repair, cleaning, or modification.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Experience in sales or customer service (preferred).

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking around the rental facility.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Must be able to wash and vacuum vehicles.
• Prepared to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
