Automotive Parts Counterperson

About the role

Titus-Will Lakewood is seeking a customer-focused Parts Counterperson to join their team. This position involves assisting technicians, service advisors, and retail customers with parts needs, overseeing the parts sales process, answering phone calls, pulling and filling orders, receiving and stocking inventory, reviewing estimates, processing payments, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians, service advisors, and retail customers with parts needs
• Oversee the parts sales process from inquiry to completion
• Answer phone calls and provide pricing, availability, and product information
• Pull and fill parts orders accurately and efficiently
• Receive and stock incoming inventory
• Perform routine inventory and bin checks to maintain accuracy
• Review repair and body shop estimates to ensure parts and pricing are correct
• Process customer payments and obtain credit authorizations when necessary
• Deliver outstanding customer service while building strong customer relationships

Requirements

• At least 1 year of automotive parts experience
• Experience with automotive retail parts sales (AutoZone, NAPA, O'Reilly, Advance Auto Parts, dealership parts departments, or similar environments strongly encouraged)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn dealership systems
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen (excluding marijuana)
• Positions involving the operation of company or customer vehicles also require a review of the driving record

Pay

$22.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience
