Job Responsibilities

• Manage the full parts sales process with accuracy and professionalism.
• Communicate clearly and courteously with customers, technicians, and internal staff.
• Provide timely updates regarding parts status and availability.
• Read and interpret parts catalogs to identify and source correct components.
• Answer incoming calls, provide price quotes, and assist customers with parts inquiries.
• Review body shop estimates to confirm correct parts and pricing alignment.
• Deliver high-level service to both internal and external customers.
• Pull and fill orders from stock; perform weekly bin checks to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Notify the parts manager of out-of-stock items or urgent shop material needs.
• Locate out-of-stock parts through outside vendors and place emergency orders when needed.
• Ensure all internal parts requests are properly billed on service repair orders.
• Process payments from retail customers and secure credit authorization when required.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior auto parts counter experience preferred (dealership or aftermarket).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret safety, maintenance, and technical documents.
• Basic math skills, including calculating discounts, percentages, proportions, and measurements.
• A customer-first mindset with the ability to build trust and deliver outstanding service.
• Reliability, enthusiasm, and a positive team-oriented attitude.
• Openness to coaching, feedback, and continuous improvement.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Strong computer and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

• 40-hour work week, available Saturdays.
