AUTOMOTIVE F&I MANAGER / FINANCE MANAGER - Lutherville, MD.

Baltimore's oldest high-volume automobile dealership has a rare opportunity in our auto finance department. With over 41 years in the industry, we are continuing to grow and seeking an experienced Automotive Finance Manager to join our dynamic team.

About the role

Assist the department manager to lead and direct the entire sales staff while working as a Finance Manager. Help customers arrange financing for their purchases and present them with additional products that enhance their vehicle and ownership experience.

Responsibilities

• Structure deals for maximum profitability and collectability
• Stay current with title laws and the registration process
• Maintain proficiency and certifications as required for the position
• Accurately desk deals, submit deals to lenders for approval, make credit decisions, and effectively close deals
• Ensure all deals are fully compliant with local, state, and federal guidelines
• Prepare paperwork, contracts, and deliver deals
• Prepare and mail all deal packages with complete and proper documentation to lenders
• Accurately audit team deals post-sale
• Ensure the expeditious funding of all contracts

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Finance Manager in a new car dealership
• Self-motivated with a high-energy personality
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to train and motivate sales staff to maximize their potential
• MS Office knowledge; computer software and internet proficiency
• Professional appearance and work ethic
• Strong attention to detail
• Proven track record and great reputation in the business
• Ability to work well independently and in a process-driven environment
• Excellent verbal/written communication, strong negotiation, and presentation skills
• Maintain strong relationships with lenders
• Excellent analytical skills; ability to figure out how to get deals approved
• Strong desire and ability to “close” the sale
• High school diploma required; college degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Valid driver license with a clean driving record
• Must pass a pre-employment screening, including a drug test
