Automation Processing Coordinator

About the role

Provide training and support for staff in automation and processing areas. Develop, update, and maintain standard operating procedures and quality control processes as needed. Act as the primary liaison with service technicians to minimize impact and shorten downtime during automation servicing or repair.

Responsibilities

• Possess a thorough knowledge of automation systems with the ability to recognize and correct issues with minimal support.
• Prepare reports illustrating the performance of automation for specimen processing, including investigating error trends, new test code builds, test code updates, and tube labeling compliance.
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance the efficiency of automation in processing areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas and troubleshoot as needed.
• Follow all policies regarding performance of maintenance, function checks, and quality control with proper documentation.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrate the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.
• Limit access to protected health information (PHI) to the information reasonably necessary to perform job duties. Share information only on a need-to-know basis for work purposes.

Schedule

• Hours: 9:00 pm – 5:30 am, Monday to Friday with rotating weekends and holidays.
