Automated Warehouse Project Manager- Construction

About the role

The Senior Project Manager will lead the construction and installation of automated material handling systems in a high bay warehouse environment. The role involves driving coordination across multiple trade partners and vendors, overseeing construction through commissioning and testing of automation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction activities and the installation of automated material handling equipment, including ASRS, AGVs/AMRs, and automated conveyor systems
• Lead commissioning and testing of automation systems through to operational handoff
• Drive daily coordination between multiple trades and resolve conflicts between trade partners
• Manage vendor relationships and hold equipment suppliers and contractors accountable to schedule, quality, and scope
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues clearly to stakeholders at all levels

Requirements

• Senior-level project management experience in construction
• Proven PM experience with the installation, commissioning, and testing of automated material handling equipment
• Hands-on experience with ASRS construction and operation
• Experience with AGVs/AMRs and automated conveyor systems, including their operation
• Strong vendor management, multi-trade coordination, and conflict resolution skills
• Excellent communication skills
• HVAC experience in a high bay warehouse environment a plus
