About the role
GEICO is seeking motivated individuals with a passion for customer service and an interest in our Auto Damage Trainee program. This is a field role requiring travel within the Palo Alto, CA area.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers after accidents or major disasters
- Inspect and assess vehicle damage caused by all types of accidents
- Estimate vehicle repair costs and negotiate equitable settlements
- Work with body shops, rental partners, and parts providers
- Travel within assigned territory to body shops, salvage and tow yards, and at times customers' homes
Requirements
- Service-driven personality
- Ability to multitask and navigate through multiple business applications
- Strong computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- Active Insurance Adjusters license (preferred)
Qualifications
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Experience with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and measurable goals
Skills
- Inspection and assessment of vehicle damage
- Estimation of vehicle repair costs
- Negotiation of equitable settlements
- Collaboration with body shops, rental partners, and parts providers

Pay
Annual Salary: $32.05 - $50.36
