Auto Damage Trainee
About the role
GEICO is seeking motivated individuals with a passion for customer service and an interest in our Auto Damage Trainee program. Candidates will assist our customers after accidents or major disasters, working independently and with their team to handle appointments and customer follow-up.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and assess vehicle damage caused by all types of accidents
- Estimate vehicle repair costs and negotiate equitable settlements
- Partner with other adjusters and supervisors to work with body shops, rental partners, and parts providers
- Travel within assigned territory to body shops, salvage and tow yards, and sometimes customers' homes to write estimates, inspect damage, and interact with the public
- Work independently and with team to ensure timely handling of appointments and customer follow-up
Requirements
Required:
- Service-driven and thrive in multitasking environments
- Strong computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with KPIs and measurable goals
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- Active Insurance Adjusters license (preferred)

Pay
The annual salary range for this role is $25.95 - $40.19. Final hourly rate/annual salary is determined based on various factors including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location, and market and business considerations.
Schedule
This is a field role requiring travel within the assigned territory. Candidates will be assigned a GEICO fleet vehicle and will be responsible for covering the Albuquerque, NM area.
