About the role
GEICO is seeking motivated individuals with a passion for customer service to join the Auto Damage Trainee program. This is a field role requiring the candidate to cover the San Jose, CA area.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers after accidents or major disasters
- Inspect and assess vehicle damage caused by all types of accidents
- Estimate vehicle repair costs and negotiate equitable settlements
- Work with body shops, rental partners, and parts providers
- Travel within assigned territory to body shops, salvage and tow yards, and customers' homes to write estimates, inspect damage, and interact with the public
- Work independently and with team members to handle appointments and customer follow-up in a timely manner
Requirements
- Service-driven personality
- Ability to multitask and navigate multiple business applications
- Strong computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- Active Insurance Adjusters license preferred
Qualifications
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Experience with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and measurable goals

Pay
Annual Salary: $32.05 - $50.36, depending on the position and location.
Schedule
Field role requiring travel within assigned territory.
