Auto Damage Trainee

About the role

GEICO is seeking motivated individuals with a passion for customer service to join the Auto Damage Trainee program. This is a field role requiring the candidate to cover the San Jose, CA area.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers after accidents or major disasters
• Inspect and assess vehicle damage caused by all types of accidents
• Estimate vehicle repair costs and negotiate equitable settlements
• Work with body shops, rental partners, and parts providers
• Travel within assigned territory to body shops, salvage and tow yards, and customers' homes to write estimates, inspect damage, and interact with the public
• Work independently and with team members to handle appointments and customer follow-up in a timely manner

Requirements

• Service-driven personality
• Ability to multitask and navigate multiple business applications
• Strong computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred
• Active Insurance Adjusters license preferred

Qualifications

• Critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Experience with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and measurable goals

Pay

Annual Salary: $32.05 - $50.36, depending on the position and location.

Schedule

Field role requiring travel within assigned territory.
