Audit Project Manager-HR Incentive Compensation and Talent Management

Compensation: $80/hr. - $100/hr.

About the Role
Our client is conducting Human Resources audit engagements focused on Incentive Compensation and Talent Management processes. The selected consultant will support audit execution by performing walkthroughs, documenting control design, assessing risk and controls, and performing control effectiveness testing. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of audit, risk, controls, and HR process experience, with a strong understanding of audit documentation and testing methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Audit Execution
- Perform audit walkthroughs and document control design activities.
- Conduct control effectiveness testing and evaluate audit results.
- Assess risks and identify control gaps across HR processes.
- Develop and maintain audit documentation in accordance with audit standards.
- Assist with audit planning, execution, and reporting activities.
- Risk & Controls Assessment
- Evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls.
- Identify process risks and recommend control improvements.
- Analyze audit findings and support remediation efforts.
- Partner with stakeholders to validate control effectiveness.
- Human Resources Audit Support
- Support audit activities related to incentive compensation programs.
- Review governance, monitoring, approval, and payment processes associated with employee incentive plans.
- Evaluate risks associated with compensation calculations and employee disbursements.
- Support talent management audits, including succession planning and workforce planning processes.
- Assess HR processes used to support talent strategy and organizational planning.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with audit, HR, risk, and business teams throughout the engagement.
- Facilitate walkthroughs and information-gathering sessions.
- Communicate audit observations and testing results to project stakeholders.
- Support audit reporting and remediation tracking activities.
Requirements
- Experience as a Senior Auditor, Audit Project Manager, or Audit Consultant.
- Strong knowledge of audit methodology, audit documentation, and testing procedures.
- Experience performing control design walkthroughs and control effectiveness testing.
- Experience with risk and control assessments.
- Background in internal audit, risk management, or compliance.
- HR audit experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Human Resources processes and controls preferred.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
