Audit Manager

About the role

The Audit Manager will develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel, assess client satisfaction, and demonstrate proficiency with accounting and auditing concepts by applying them to client situations. This position requires mastery of process documentation, risk assessment, data analysis, and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide the first line of supervision to a team of accounting professionals and support staff
• Oversee the quality control function, including overall work paper review
• Apply understanding of Government Auditing Standards, audit procedures, and financial analysis techniques
• Deliver quality work products to clients with minimal direction
• Supervise and review work performed by staff
• Develop people through effective delegation and guidance
• Provide subject matter expertise in financial management areas such as financial reporting, internal control, and financial business systems
• Review draft deliverables prepared by engagement teams and present final results to management
• Assist Partners/Principals and Senior Managers in creating proposals, business development, and practice administration
• Utilize technology to share knowledge, develop skills, and continually learn
• Demonstrate strong customer service and project management skills
• Maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills

Requirements

• BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university in Accounting
• Minimum of 5 years of auditing experience
• Management/leadership experience
• Willing to travel up to 50%
• Active Interim Secret Clearance (or higher) required (U.S. citizenship necessary)

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA/MS degree from an accredited college/university
• CPA or CISA certification

Pay

The expected salary range for this position is between $77,000 and $125,000 (base pay only). Actual compensation will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses when applicable.
