Audit Manager
The Audit Manager position leads financial consulting programs that strengthen transparency and accountability across the Department of Transportation by overseeing liquid fuels fund administration, compliance, and statewide monitoring activities.

This role applies your financial oversight experience to guide statewide practices, shape program policies, and support effective public service through accurate reporting and regulatory adherence.
Responsibilities
- Manage liquid fuels training, monitoring, and consulting activities to ensure proper fund use across local governments
- Lead audit review and resolution processes to ensure findings are addressed and corrective actions are completed
- Evaluate municipal and county fund utilization for adherence to regulations and established procedures
- Collaborate with internal staff, state agencies, and local officials to resolve issues and support program goals
- Direct updates to systems, reports, and documentation to maintain accurate and accessible financial data
- Interpret and communicate laws, policies, and financial procedures for staff, leadership, and external partners
Requirements
- One year as an Audit Specialist Supervisor, Auditor Supervisor, or Audit Specialist 3; or
- Three years of auditing experience and four years of accounting and/or additional auditing work including one year of supervisory accounting or account auditing experience; and fifteen college-level credits in accounting; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that includes fifteen college-level credits in accounting and three years of auditing experience including one year of supervisory accounting or accounting auditing experience
You must meet the Pennsylvania residency requirement.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch. This position is home headquartered in Pennsylvania with a requirement for a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
