Audio Visual / Video Teleconferencing (AV/VTC) Project Manager
About the role
We are seeking an experienced AV/VTC Project Manager to support an audio visual and video teleconferencing installation project at the Austin Information Technology Center (AITC), a GSA-managed federal facility in Austin, TX.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end AV/VTC installation project including planning, scheduling, and execution
- Cook up with government stakeholders, subcontractors, and technical teams
- Ensure work is performed with minimal disruption in an occupied federal facility
- Develop and maintain project schedule with milestones and deliverables
- Oversee installation of audio/visual equipment including conferencing systems
- Manage 4-year warranty requirements and maintenance activities
- Provide regular status updates and reports to government client
- Ensure compliance with GSA standards and Statement of Work requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager on AV/VTC or similar IT integration projects
- Demonstrated experience managing AV equipment installation in occupied office buildings
- Experience with maintenance and warranty management on federal projects
- Active professional registration/certification (required)
- Strong knowledge of AV/VTC systems — Crestron, Extron, AMX, Polycom, Cisco preferred
- Experience working with GSA or federal government clients
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) — AVIXA certified
- CTS-I (Installation) or CTS-D (Design)
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- Prior experience at a federal data center or IT facility
- Familiarity with GSA procurement and contract compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
