Attorney for Banking Practice Group: Lateral or Senior Associate
Description
Messerli Kramer is a Top 20 Minnesota law firm with offices in Minneapolis, St. Paul, and Plymouth. We are seeking a Senior Associate or Lateral Attorney for our downtown Minneapolis office to practice in the area of commercial banking.
Responsibilities
- Drafting and negotiating complex loan documentation, including real estate and asset-based lending transactions
- Reviewing due diligence materials, including those for construction lending and financing for land development
- Substantive experience in affordable housing tax credit lending
Requirements
- Significant experience advising on complex financial transactions
- Experience overseeing and managing loan document drafting and due diligence review
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
- Deep understanding of banking and finance, real estate, and regulatory laws
- Strong preference for candidates with affordable housing tax credit experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Analytical with attention to detail, strong drafting skills, and solid commercial banking experience
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Licensed to practice law in MN

Pay
Base compensation will vary based on level of experience and practice specialty. Compensation range $185,000-250,000. Attorneys are also eligible for monthly, quarterly and/or annual bonus incentives based on performance.
