As a Construction Attorney, you'll have the opportunity to work on challenging and high-profile construction matters, representing contractors, subcontractors, owners, developers, architects, engineers, and insurers throughout all phases of construction projects and related disputes. Key Responsibilities Managing a diverse caseload of construction-related matters, including contract disputes, construction defect claims, delay and disruption claims, lien and bond issues, and risk management matters.Conducting thorough legal research and drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and other legal documents.Representing clients in litigation, arbitration, mediation, depositions, and court proceedings.Advising clients on construction contracts, project risk allocation, regulatory compliance, and dispute avoidance strategies.Collaborating with colleagues and clients to develop effective case and project strategies.Reviewing and negotiating construction agreements, subcontractor agreements, and related project documentation.Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry developments affecting the construction industry. Requirements Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Louisiana State Bar and in good standing.4-8 years of experience in construction law, commercial litigation, or related practice areas.Experience handling construction disputes, contract negotiations, and risk management matters preferred.Strong analytical, research, writing, and negotiation skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
