Attorney

About the role

The attorney will manage a plaintiff‑side caseload from initial intake through settlement, hearing, or trial. The role involves developing case strategy, advocating for clients, negotiating with opposing parties and insurers, and working closely with case managers and support staff.

Responsibilities

• Handle personal injury and/or workers' compensation matters through all stages of litigation and resolution.
• Investigate claims, evaluate liability and damages, and build effective legal strategies.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery responses, demand packages, and other legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions, negotiate settlements, and represent clients at hearings or trial.
• Maintain consistent, compassionate communication with clients throughout the legal process.
• Collaborate with legal support staff to move matters efficiently and deliver a high‑quality client experience.
• Remain current on relevant South Carolina personal injury and workers' compensation laws.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license and good standing with the South Carolina Bar.
• At least 3 years of plaintiff‑side personal injury and/or workers' compensation experience.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage an active caseload.
• Strong legal writing, research, negotiation, and litigation skills.
• Excellent judgment, client‑service orientation, and communication abilities.
