About the role

Our client is an insurance defense firm with a substantial caseload in complex civil litigation, construction, and personal injury matters. This position is based in their central Phoenix office, near the Biltmore.

Responsibilities

• Case evaluation, recommendation, and support
• Communicate with client and counsel
• Propound and respond to discovery
• Perform legal research and draft memoranda
• Draft complaints, motions, and other pleadings and documents
• Prepare for, take, and defend depositions
• Prepare for and attend court hearings
• Prepare for and attend mediation
• Provide excellent service to all clients

Qualifications

• Must be in good standing with the Arizona State Bar
• Must reside in Arizona and be admitted to the bar in Arizona
• 1–4 years of experience, with insurance defense experience preferred
• Strong research and writing skills
• Ability to work independently and to multitask while demonstrating strong attention to detail
• Experience with depositions, motions, and court hearings is required
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Belief in being a team player
