About the Role

Advance student potential—and your own—as you collaborate with the teacher to work with small groups of students in delivering individualized services and support. Monitor student behavior, track educational progress, communicate with parents, and reinforce learning and skills through our proven model.

Responsibilities

  • Understands and implements SESI’s philosophy, policy, and procedures relating to conduct, discipline, educational, and attendance outcomes for students, staff, and parents.
  • Orders and maintains adequate school and office supplies within designated budget requirements. Ensures proper delivery, reviews charges for accuracy, notifies vendor of discrepancies, and ensures corrections are made.
  • Operates a variety of office equipment, including phone systems, printers, faxes, copiers, and different computer applications.
  • Maintains confidentiality and privacy of personnel, business, and other sensitive or proprietary information of Specialized Education Services, their employees, and students.
  • Ensures state, municipal, and federal compliance in upholding and enforcing maintenance of school records.
  • Handles distribution of school mail, using discretion in disseminating information and guarding confidential information.
  • Performs receptionist duties: answers phones, greets visitors professionally, directs calls to appropriate personnel, and screens calls as directed.
  • Monitors employee compliance with COVID-19 regulations and training completion.
  • Enters data related to enrollment, attendance, behavioral incidents, and test scores as needed.
  • Exhibits professional conduct with school colleagues, students, and parents in accordance with Camelot Education policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned based on SESI needs and business requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; advanced education preferred.
  • Ability to operate office equipment including phone systems, printers, faxes, copiers, and computers.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working in a school setting preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to run short distances and move swiftly in response to student needs, including bending, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Ability to lift and assist students with mobility challenges, often requiring handling up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Skill in managing fine motor tasks, such as helping students with writing, manipulating small objects, or using adaptive devices.
  • Ability to operate a computer or tablet for up to 8 hours daily.
  • Capacity to notice and respond to non-verbal cues from students.
  • Capacity to remain calm and composed during physically and emotionally demanding situations, ensuring student safety and well-being.

Pay

USD $42,000.00 - USD $48,000.00 per year.
