Athletics Announcer/Game Day Operations

Duties/Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to various athletic programs.
• Perform in-game announcing as either public address or broadcast commentary.
• Perform pregame preparation including accessing statistics, starting lineups and researching teams at competition.
• Provide in-game assistance with coordinating music, promotions and advertising reads.
• Assist with postgames in breaking down public address or broadcasting equipment.

Minimum Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• Prior history of working sporting events.
• Prior history of public speaking.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Must understand and follow all safety policies and procedures.

Desired Qualifications

• Prior history as a public address announcer at athletics events.
• Prior history as a broadcast commentator at athletics events.
• Able to communicate effectively with the general public, students, coaches, and administrators.
• Possess excellent organizational and time management skills.

Salary

$15.00 per hour (FTE=$31,200)
