Athletics Game Day- Broadcast Crew Member
About the role
The University of South Florida Athletics Department seeks experienced and reliable independent broadcast professionals to support live event productions throughout the year. Selected consultants will contribute to live athletic broadcasts across digital, streaming, and television platforms, supporting a range of technical and on-air roles.
Responsibilities
- Support live sports broadcasts and related production activities.
- Perform assigned production roles before, during, and after events.
- Auxiliary with setup, operation, and breakdown of broadcast equipment as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with producers, directors, engineers, and other production staff.
- Maintain a professional demeanor while working in a fast-paced live event environment.
- Follow established production workflows, safety procedures, and operational standards.
- Arrive prepared and on time for assigned events and production meetings.
- Represent the University of South Florida in a professional manner.
Qualifications
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate game day schedules and events.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods during game day events.
- Comfortable working outdoors and in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment, as necessary.
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience in live sports, broadcast, video production or related fields.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience on collegiate, professional or live event broadcasts. Knowledge of ESPN production standards and live events broadcasting.
