Athletic Trainer - Outreach

About the role

Deliver healthcare services in a secondary school setting, supporting athlete health and safety within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform injury and illness prevention, wellness promotion, examination, assessment, diagnosis, immediate/emergency care, and therapeutic interventions.
• Evaluate athletic and non-athletic conditions in high school-aged patients.
• Educate stakeholders on injury prevention and treatment.
• Coordinate clinic appointments, follow-ups, and document interactions in electronic medical records.
• Maintain compliance with local, state, and national healthcare standards and professional regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned and adhere to organizational policies and standards.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Exercise Science, Athletic Training, or related field.
• Active certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and Certified Athletic Trainer (CAT).
• State credential as an athletic trainer required upon hire.
• Less than 1 year of experience with approved degree or 15+ years with related bachelor's degree and certification.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, timeliness, cooperation skills; moderate flexibility.
