Job Overview
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Assistant Director of Patient Care for the Oncology Unit II at the New Brunswick campus.
Qualifications
- BSN required
- At least 2-5 years leadership/charge/preceptor experience as a Registered Nurse
- Oncology Nurse experience required
- MSN highly preferred
- Previous experience as a nursing director is preferred
- National Board Certification - OCN preferred
Scheduling Requirements
- Night Shift, 40 hours per week
- Full-Time
- On Call Leadership Coverage
Essential Functions
- Provides leadership and direction in order to fulfill the goals and objectives of the unit/organization
- Effectively communicates information to staff, utilizes resources and manages staff and services
- Affords assistance to the Director with the daily operations of the unit and delegated responsibilities
- Assigns 50 percent of patient care responsibilities
- Collaboratively prepares and maintains staff schedule and payroll
- Effectively collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and drives through-out staff accountability
