About the role

The Patient Care Director leads a diverse portfolio of outpatient oncology services at NewYork-Presbyterian, a comprehensive academic health care delivery system. Reporting to the Vice President of Outpatient Services, the Patient Care Director partners with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver exceptional patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Provides strategic and operational oversight of nursing and patient care services, including staffing, workflow optimization, quality and safety initiatives, patient experience, program development, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement.
  • Serves as a key leader in advancing nursing excellence and supporting the growth and evolution of outpatient oncology programs.
  • Drives initiatives that promote evidence-based practice, operational efficiency, interdisciplinary collaboration, and high-quality patient outcomes while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and professional development among clinical staff.
  • Navigates a fast-paced academic medical center environment while balancing the needs of patients, staff, providers, and the organization.

Requirements

  • ONS chemotherapy / biotherapy certified, Oncology Certification (OCN)
  • Previous management, leadership, and collaborative experience
  • At least 3 years of RN experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field preferred
  • Current New York State RN license
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills

Pay

$170,000 - $217,000/Annual

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday
