About the role
The TTUHSC School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics in the Permian Basin is seeking a physician to join the new Permian Basin Pediatric Residency program. This program is designed to address critical pediatric care shortages by training residents in general pediatrics and subspecialties.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care in adolescent/young adult medicine including physical and mental health
- Consultative services around eating disorders, behavioral health, chronic illness and reproductive health
- Work as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Participate in the education of students and residents
Requirements
- MD/DO/MBBS
- Completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 3
- Completed, or in the process of completing, an ACGME accredited Residency
- Completed, or in process of completing, a Fellowship in Adolescent Medicine
Qualifications
- MD/DO/MBBS
- Completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 3
- Completed, or in the process of completing, an ACGME accredited Residency
- Completed, or in process of completing, a Fellowship in Adolescent Medicine
Skills
- Excellent clinical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with adolescent/young adult medicine
- Knowledge of subspecialties like critical care, behavioral developmental, neonatology, adolescent medicine and endocrinology
