About the role

The TTUHSC School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics in the Permian Basin is seeking a physician to join the new Permian Basin Pediatric Residency program. This program is designed to address critical pediatric care shortages by training residents in general pediatrics and subspecialties.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical care in adolescent/young adult medicine including physical and mental health
  • Consultative services around eating disorders, behavioral health, chronic illness and reproductive health
  • Work as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Participate in the education of students and residents

Requirements

  • MD/DO/MBBS
  • Completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 3
  • Completed, or in the process of completing, an ACGME accredited Residency
  • Completed, or in process of completing, a Fellowship in Adolescent Medicine

Qualifications

  • MD/DO/MBBS
  • Completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 3
  • Completed, or in the process of completing, an ACGME accredited Residency
  • Completed, or in process of completing, a Fellowship in Adolescent Medicine

Skills

  • Excellent clinical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with adolescent/young adult medicine
  • Knowledge of subspecialties like critical care, behavioral developmental, neonatology, adolescent medicine and endocrinology
