About the role

The TTUHSC Department of Psychiatry seeks candidates for a full-time position as an Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents.
  • Diagnose and treat a range of psychiatric disorders in children and adolescents, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral or emotional issues.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy.
  • Maintain and monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Participate in department call coverage.
  • Conduct educational activities and/or research related to mental health.
  • Provide supervision, mentoring, and teaching to residents and students.

Requirements

  • MD/DO or equivalent.
  • Completion of the USMLE Step 3.
  • Completion of, or in the process of completing, a residency in psychiatry.
  • Completion of, or in the process of completing, a fellowship in child & adolescent psychiatry.
  • ABMS Board Eligibility, or in the process of completing training to become board eligible, in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.

Qualifications

  • MD/DO or equivalent.

  • Completion of, or in the process of completing, a residency in psychiatry.
  • Completion of, or in the process of completing, a fellowship in child & adolescent psychiatry.
