ADOLESCENT MEDICINE FACULTY PHYSICIAN
About the role
The Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics, UMass Chan Medical School, is recruiting a 1.0 FTE physician, preferably board-certified or eligible, or with significant experience in that specialty, to join a talented, harmonious interdisciplinary team of adolescent medicine nurse practitioners and physicians.
Responsibilities
- Adolescent/Young Adult Primary and Subspecialty Care
- Eating Disorders
- Gender Affirming Care
- Adolescent Gynecology
- Youth in Juvenile Justice
- Rotates through services with outstanding Pediatric, Med-Peds, Pedi Psych residents and UMass Chan medical students
- Mentors and precepts nurse practitioner students from Yale and UMass
- Active in community outreach programs for behavioral health and psychiatry, juvenile justice health, college and school health, and collaborative efforts with child psychiatry, and advocacy and policy initiatives at the local, state and national levels
Requirements
- Medical Licensure in the State of Massachusetts
- Experience in Adolescent Medicine or related field
- Board Certification in Pediatrics or related field preferred
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Pediatrics or related field
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
