Associate Web Developer

BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY

This position supports the design, development, and maintenance of web-based and cloud applications within an Agile development environment. The role collaborates closely with senior developers and cross-functional team members to assist with application development using technologies such as Node.js, React, Java, and AWS services, including DynamoDB and Lambda.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to API and system integrations
• Support Guidewire Cloud configuration and development using Gosu and/or Jutro
• Aid in data integration and data quality initiatives
• Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and CI/CD processes

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of web development concepts and technologies
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git
• Strong problem-solving skills and quick adaptation to new technologies
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
• Willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative environment
• Ability to become certified (or currently certified and up to date) as an Associate InsuranceSuite Developer on the Guidewire insurance cloud platform within six months; continued certification (Professional / ACE) may be required at a later date

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is strongly preferred
