About the role

Vancouver Veterinary Hospital is a thriving veterinary practice located in Vancouver, WA, offering a variety of services including General Practice, Internal Medicine, Emergency Care, Orthopedics, and Nutritional Counseling. We are seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent, high-quality care and exceptional service to maintain a positive hospital environment
• Adhere to WellHaven protocols and practices, overseeing employees to prioritize practice goals
• Collaborate with the Principal Doctor to establish development plans that align with hospital objectives
• Practice veterinary medicine in compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Maintain thorough and accurate medical charting, meeting quality control standards
• Provide comprehensive client communication, including in-person, phone, and email interactions
• Participate in community events, external marketing initiatives, and hospital projects
• Advocate for exceptional client service and patient well-being
• Provide medical training to support staff
• Lead and guide the team to ensure the hospital meets safety standards and regulations
• Meet all OSHA standards and regulations as outlined in company policies
• Perform other job duties as assigned

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree
• State Veterinary Board License
• Current USDA Accreditation (preferred)

• Proficiency in anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and current medical practices

• Willingness to train/lead/manage support staff as required

Schedule

Shifts may include 10+ hours, Saturdays, evenings, and holidays. Specific schedules will be discussed during the interview process.
