Associate Therapist

About the role

Connections Mental Health is a licensed residential mental health facility specializing in treating individuals with co-occurring psychiatric disorders. We provide gender-specific and co-ed group therapy, individual therapy, and comprehensive case management, all delivered with professionalism, heart, and purpose.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual therapy and lead 1–2 therapy groups weekly.
• Maintain a caseload of 6 clients, ensuring personalized care and attention.
• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Use therapeutic modalities including psychodynamic approaches, family systems, CBT, and DBT.
• Document all services in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Collaborate with clinical team and coordinate with community resources.
• Perform risk assessments, utilization reviews, and offer crisis intervention as needed.

Requirements

• Master's degree in a mental health-related field (required).
• Registered with the BBS (ACSW, AMFT, APCC, etc. required).
• Experience with mental health treatment (1+ year preferred).
• Knowledge of co-occurring disorders and trauma-informed care.
• Familiarity with EMR documentation and compliance standards.
• A team player with empathy, integrity, and strong clinical skills.
