Associate Therapist

Responsibilities

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions within the framework of Newport Healthcare’s clinical model
• Facilitate clinical and experiential group therapy sessions to support healing and connection
• Participate in screenings, intakes, orientations, assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning
• Attend trainings and clinical supervision sessions to enhance skills and broaden knowledge
• Serve as a vital part of clients’ multidisciplinary treatment teams
• Support the team with crisis prevention, intervention, and management as needed

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a clinical discipline (required)
• Board registered to accrue hours towards licensure in the state where services are provided (required)
• Experience facilitating therapy with children, teens, and/or young adults (preferred)
• Patient-first mindset that inspires delivery of high-standard care
• Cultural competency and a clinical style aligned with Newport Healthcare’s therapeutic approach
• Capacity to listen attentively and actively, with patience and empathy, and to communicate clearly and effectively
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure or when facing change, delays, or unexpected events
