About the role

The successful candidate will be expected to sustain a significant, ongoing research agenda commensurate with their appointed rank that leads to peer-reviewed publication and demonstrates leadership and impact in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and provide leadership in the M.A. in Technical Communication Program and in our growing undergraduate technical communication offerings.
  • Significant participation in the continued development of graduate and undergraduate programs in technical communication.
  • Mentorship of junior faculty.
  • Led on college and university-level committees.
  • Appropriate administrative and programmatic responsibilities.

Requirements

  • A terminal degree in Technical Communication, English, or a related field.
  • Proven record of scholarly achievement, including peer-reviewed publications.
  • Experience in teaching technical communication at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Strong commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute to the academic community through service and leadership.

Skills

  • Expertise in technical communication theory and practice.
  • Ability to develop and deliver innovative curriculum.
