About the role

Daymark Health is a value-based oncology company redefining the cancer care experience for patients, providers, and health plans. Daymark’s comprehensive, personalized cancer care platform empowers patients with dedicated care navigation, symptom-focused support, behavioral health care, and social resources. Combined with evidence-based health interventions and a hybrid in-person + virtual care model, Daymark is improving the overall cancer experience for patients, providers, and health plans – and setting a new standard in cancer care. Daymark’s groundbreaking approach is led by CEO Dr. Justin Bekelman, a pioneer in transforming cancer care, alongside some of the nation’s foremost leaders in oncology and value-based care. Daymark Health is backed by Maverick Ventures, Yosemite, Oncology Ventures, Healthier Capital, Blue Venture Fund, and Healthcare Foundry. The Associate Product Manager will serve as an operational center point for the product and engineering team, owning the backlog, writing requirements, running product operations, triaging bugs and feature requests, supporting clinical and care teams, coordinating QA and releases, maintaining documentation, supporting discovery and research, and operating with a bias to action.

Responsibilities

  • Own the backlog: Keep the product backlog organized — refining tickets, tagging and prioritizing work, and making sure items are clear and ready for engineering pickup.
  • Write requirements: Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design leads to translate needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and lightweight specs.
  • Run product operations: Help plan and run day-to-day product rituals — sprint planning, standups, backlog grooming, retros — and keep cross-functional partners informed on status, risks, and blockers.
  • Triage bugs and feature requests: Serve as the first stop for incoming bug reports and feature requests. Investigate issues to understand root cause and impact, and work with Engineering to prioritize and track fixes to resolution.
  • Support clinical and care teams: Be a first point of contact for clinical and operational teams’ tech support questions, troubleshooting issues directly and routing more complex escalations to Engineering.
  • Coordinate QA and releases: Help plan and run QA/UAT for new features, testing functionality, verifying fixes, and confirming releases are ready to ship. Communicate what’s changing to the teams it affects.
  • Maintain documentation: Keep product specs, workflows, known issues, and release notes clear and up to date so teams across Daymark always know what’s shipped and what’s in flight.
  • Support discovery and research: Gather feedback from clinical and care teams through shadowing, interviews, and data, and help translate what you learn into clear problem statements and opportunities.
  • Operate with a bias to action: Jump in on urgent operational needs and help solve problems even when they fall outside your core scope.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in product management, product operations, project management, QA, or a comparable operational role. Experience in healthcare is required, preferably in a care delivery or clinical software context.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong organizational and project management skills; able to bring structure to ambiguous, fast‑moving situations, manage a busy backlog, a stream of bug reports, and multiple stakeholders without dropping details.
  • Communication: Communicate clearly and confidently with a range of audiences, including clinical staff; translate between technical and non‑technical language and between clinical workflows and product requirements.
  • Ownership mindset: Take initiative, operate with autonomy, figure out what’s needed and make it happen, know when to loop in others.
  • Healthcare fluency: Direct experience in the healthcare space, motivated to deeply understand clinician, care team, and patient workflows; experience with EHR systems or care management/
