About the Role
Confidential Client is hiring an Associate Product Manager to support investing and wealth-management products and internal efficiency tooling. You will act as a junior product owner for a workstream, partner with operations (Vestmark Outsourced Services equivalent), and work with engineering, design, compliance, and operations to deliver user-centered, compliant features.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the product roadmap by gathering stakeholder, customer, and data input
- Write clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Conduct user interviews and competitive research to inform product decisions
- Own and maintain backlog items for assigned workstreams; prioritize stories for development
- Track epics and releases in Jira/Confluence and surface risks and blockers
- Translate operational pain points into product requirements for internal tooling and automation
- Partner with operations and efficiency teams to scope and prioritize internal tools
- Participate in agile ceremonies (refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives)
- Monitor product performance post-launch and recommend improvements
- Apply AI responsibly to speed requirement writing and execution, aligned with company policies
- Work with Compliance/Legal to ensure features meet regulatory requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- 2–3 years of product management or product-owner experience (fintech/financial services preferred)
- Basic familiarity with investing or wealth-management concepts (accounts, portfolios, advisory services)
- Exposure to agile tools and practices (Jira, Confluence, or similar)
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to synthesize and present information clearly
- Comfort collaborating with operations teams to translate manual workflows into product requirements
- Eagerness to learn, take ownership, and grow in a structured environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience on consumer-facing digital product teams from discovery through launch
- Basic familiarity with SQL or BI tools to work with product metrics
- Prior exposure to regulated or compliance-sensitive product development
- Experience with back-office, operations, or BPO environments
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field
Compensation
- Salary range: $90,000 USD - $120,000 USD
- Market-based compensation with potential variable pay (if eligible)
