About the role
As an Associate Package Specialist at IBM, you will help clients in the selection, implementation, and production support of application packaged solutions, such as Oracle. Leveraging a growth mindset, you're ready and willing to deliver business value wherever needed.
You may be responsible for:
- Assisting clients in selection, implementation, and support of packages.
- Making strategic recommendations and leveraging business knowledge to drive solutions for clients and their management.
- Running or supporting workshops, meetings, and stakeholder interviews.
- Developing process maps to understand As-Is and To-Be scenarios.
- Using IBM's Design Thinking to help solve client's challenges.
- Exposure to AI-driven tools to analyze data or improve workflow efficiency, requirement gathering, testing, and workflow efficiency.
- Handling multiple tasks concurrently and meeting deadlines while maintaining focus in an environment with conflicting demands.
Requirements
- Ability to translate business solutions into technical requirements.
- Openness to assist clients in the design, business architecture, process development, functional implementation, and support of applications.
- Ability to thrive in an ever-changing, technology-based consulting environment.
- Ability to quickly learn enterprise systems and cloud-based applications.
- A passion for innovative ideas, coupled with the ability to understand and assimilate different points of view.
- Exceptional quantitative analysis skills and ability to derive recommendations informed by data and insights.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred Majors: MIS, Business/Finance/Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Human Resources.
- Client-facing internships, consulting clubs, strong process orientation, and documentation skills.
- Exposure to enterprise software or business processes; experience with Oracle Cloud or other packaged applications is a plus.
- Coursework, capstones, part-time jobs, or internships related to business processes in Finance (ERP), HR (HCM), Supply Chain (SCM), or Customer Experience (CX).
- Exposure to SQL, PL/SQL, Python, Java, JavaScript, Excel modeling, process mapping, or basic ABAP awareness.
