About the role

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Nephrology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in either the non-tenure clinician educator track or the tenure track.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching responsibilities may include teaching and mentoring junior faculty, graduate students, medical students, pediatric residents, and pediatric nephrology fellows.
  • Clinical responsibilities may include the treatment of children and adolescents with a wide range of kidney diseases, in both the inpatient, outpatient, satellite campus, and dialysis settings.
  • Research or scholarship responsibilities may include a national reputation in clinical, basic science, and/or translational research involving patients with kidney disease, program administration skills, and commitment to direct and grow clinical programs in their specific area of interest.

Requirements

  • Must have an M.D. or equivalent degree.
  • Must be board certified/eligible in pediatric nephrology.
  • Excellence in education, research, and clinical care.

Qualifications

  • Significant research and clinical resources and space for the research and clinical programs will be provided to the successful candidate.

Skills

  • Ability to teach and mentor junior faculty, graduate students, medical students, pediatric residents, and pediatric nephrology fellows.
  • Experience in treating children and adolescents with a wide range of kidney diseases.
  • Strong research and clinical skills.
