About the role
The Division of Nephrology-Hypertension in the Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego is seeking candidates for a position as an Associate or Full Professor (Adjunct) in the field of Nephrology Research.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in the field of chronic kidney disease (CKD), specifically focusing on how mitochondrial dysfunction and microvascular injury contribute to physical and functional decline in CKD. The candidate will also have the opportunity to lead and teach students, residents, or fellows.
Qualifications
Candidate must have an MD or equivalent, MD/PhD, PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in health-related areas. Candidates with at least one year of experience in designing and evaluating clinical trials and observational data with kidney disease are preferred.
