About the role
The Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (NJMS) seeks qualified candidates at the Assistant or Associate Professor level for a full-time academic position in nephrology.
This position supports the growth of renal disease programs and involves spending time on campus providing inpatient and outpatient care, educating medical students and residents, and participating in research. Additionally, some time may be spent in community dialysis centers to ensure continuity of care for the complex patient population.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care in nephrology, including both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Teach medical students and residents in the Division of Nephrology.
- Contribute to the research activities of the division.
- Participate in the education of medical students and residents.
- Ensure continuity of care in community dialysis centers.
Requirements
- A PhD or MD degree is required.
- Experience in nephrology is preferred.
- Excellent communication and teaching skills are essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
