Associate, Minor League Athletic Trainer

About the role

The New York Mets are hiring Athletic Training Associates for various affiliate sites in Florida and New York for the 2027 season. Associates will work within a multi‑disciplinary performance department, gaining experience in professional baseball while supporting the affiliate head athletic trainer.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence‑based assessments, management, and rehabilitation plans for injuries under the supervision of the assigned head athletic trainer.
• Collaborate with the coordinated performance department to implement organizational and individual programs.
• Cover daily game and workout sessions, including pre‑ and post‑game treatments and field setup.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by the affiliate athletic trainer or medical coordinator.
• Analyze objective monitoring data to make decisions about individualized evaluation and interventions.
• Assist with hydration testing and protocols provided by the performance nutrition department.
• Manage inventory of medical supplies and nutritional supplements.

Qualifications

• Current BOC Certification and CPR/AED certification required.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Position Details

All positions begin on January 4, 2027 and end on November 30, 2027. Travel for work coverage is paid by the organization. Candidates must be available for the full duration and prepared to work nights and weekends, with hours varying week to week.

Pay

Hourly rate: $19.00

Schedule
