Purpose and Scope

The Associate Manager serves the Association by supporting leaders in equipping members for effective ministry. Key components include planning and executing events such as International, USA State, and National Association Conventions. These events translate direction from cabinets and committees into guidance for implementing Ministry Programs at the camp level.

The Associate Manager fulfills a dual role, focusing on external needs and internal visitor hosting. They work closely with the Senior Manager, Ministry Events & Auxiliary, to ensure alignment with leadership guidance and feedback.

Team Leadership

  • Manages the guest experience, providing exceptional hospitality and operational support.
  • Collaborates with other Ministry Programs divisions to ensure clarity, consistency, and focus on member and leader success.
  • Equips staff to host tours for visitors and hosts tours as needed.

Leadership Support

  • Facilitates Scripture distributions at USA medical conventions on behalf of the International Auxiliary Cabinet.
  • Ensures accurate communication, data entry, and order coordination.

Auxiliary Presidents Conference & International Convention

  • Liaises with the Auxiliary Presidents Conference Program Committee to ensure cohesive planning and staff responsibilities.
  • Coordinates meeting preparation and post-meeting needs during International Convention.
  • Assists with event-wide needs and resolves issues.

Special Assignments

  • Represents the International Auxiliary Cabinet at regional conventions and conferences.
  • Prepares and delivers inspirational and educational presentations.
  • Develops new presentations independently for member leaders.
  • Handles sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Manages multiple priorities and maintains attention to detail.

Work Environment and Time Requirements

  • Climate-controlled office environment
  • 8-hour workday
  • Hybrid work schedule: telework Monday & Friday, in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
  • Variations in work volume may require extended working hours or in-office days.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years of experience and active involvement in The Gideons International
  • 5 years of State Auxiliary leadership experience preferred
  • PC experience, especially in Microsoft Office applications
  • Successful completion of a drug and background screen
