About the Role
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. The focus is on Pediatric Anesthesiology with a specialty in cardiothoracic anesthesiology.
Responsibilities
- Teaching in formal didactic lecture programs and informal instruction of medical students, residents, and fellows in cardiothoracic operating rooms and procedural areas.
- Attendance and participation in division lectures, presentations, and multidisciplinary conferences.
- Direct patient care and medical direction in cardiothoracic operating rooms and procedural areas (primary practice at the Philadelphia campus of Children's Hospital of Philadelphia).
- Investigator-initiated and collaborative research, with a substantial commitment to scholarship in the non-tenure clinician educator track.
- Mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows in scholarly pursuits, with evidence of continuous scholarly productivity.
Requirements
- M.D. or equivalent degree.
- ABA certification with subspecialty certification or board eligibility in Pediatric Anesthesiology (or equivalent/status as a candidate in the examination system).
- Ability to obtain a Pennsylvania medical license.
